Our Story

TLC Transit is a family-owned business serving the Greater Toledo Area since 2017. With decades of experience in the public passenger transportation sector, Jon Elston—our founder and owner—brought his expertise and passion for service to TLC Transit. Prior to acquiring the company, Jon served as the Director of Transportation for the Board of Developmental Disabilities and as the Director of the Toledo Area Paratransit Services Department. 
 
What began in 2017 as a 15-van operation has grown into Ohio’s largest Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) fleet. At TLC Transit, our mission is rooted in providing quality, personalized transportation services to meet the unique needs of our community.

Our management team brings over 100 years of combined experience in assisted passenger transportation, ensuring every detail of our operation meets the highest standards of efficiency and safety. The local knowledge and expertise of our team enable us to deliver exceptional service tailored to the unique needs of the Greater Toledo Area.
